Icaraizinho is a nick name for a kite spot, located at Icarai de Amontada, 180km from Fortaleza. Driving takes around 2.5h, and a bus ride around 4h. You can reach Icaraizinho by car, but the last part is on sandy dirt roads. You can have a Downwind kite trip from Flecheiras, and drive at the beach and the shore line roads.
By Car. To get to Icarai de amontada (Icaraizinho), you need to go on the CE-085 highway. Unfortunately, Google road maps are incorrect in north east Ceara area, so you can't count on navigation apps. Read the instructions here and in Brazil transportation section, download the map below, follow the signs, and you will make it. Drive on CE-085, for 150km north west of Fortaleza at the direction of Aracatiara, Icarai de Amontada. When you see white panels of Amontada, Icarai or Moitas, go another 15km, then take the track on the right to Icaraizinho, last part is a dirt sandy road that might be not suitable for private car. CE-085 is easy to reach from Cumbuco, Taiba, Paracuru, Flexeiras and Lagoinha, but can be tricky to reach from Fortaleza airport.
By 4x4. You can drive at the beach while Downwind, from Cumbuco, Taiba, Paracuru , Lagoinha and Flecheiras. Driving conditions at the beach are dynamic. Transportation options depend on tide, seasonal lagoons and more. Local driver is a good choice.
By Bus. Horizonte Tel: 3256.6967 bus Company,maintains daily line from Fortaleza . The bus leaves at 9 am from the bus station at Fortaleza. After passing at Itapipoca and Amontada,
it arrives at 2:30 pm at Icarai. The bus stops at the main square, then continue to the beach. Mind that from the airport, you need a ride to the buss station. For mode details, read Brazil transportation section. The trip takes between 5h30, and costs R$ 18.

Mind that if you land at Fortaleza, and want to go straight to Icaraizinho, you may need to stay a night in Fortaleza if you land in the afternoon.
